About this section
Two different things share this section. The sweatshirt group is brushed fleece inside a cotton polyester shell, cut oversized, with the crop and mock neck styles designed to sit over a high waist. The knit group is a thicker yarn in a loose gauge, turtlenecks and crewnecks meant to go over a shirt. The knits cost ten to fifteen dollars more and that gap is entirely yarn weight.
Fleece pieces run large on purpose. If the name says oversized and you are between sizes, take the smaller one, because the pattern has already added the room. Chunky knits are more forgiving either way since the gauge stretches.
Off the shoulder styles
Several listings use a wide neckline that is meant to slip to one side. They hold better with a strap on the shoulder they are not falling off, which is what most of the product photos quietly show.
Pilling
Acrylic blend knits will pill under the arms and along the sides where a bag rubs. A cheap fabric shaver fixes it in ten minutes and buys another winter.
